Stumbling upon a deeply true statement from an American author and journalist, about either the evident and the subtle distruction in front of our eyes within and without: “WE now live in a nation where doctors destroys health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the press destroys information, religion destroys moral and our banks destroy the economy.” Somebody asked “who is going to build then?”
Wel not too cooling because in the wetness breeze blowing in tru the balcony one can only sweat in front of her sewing machine. But the results are paying off spreading motivation for new projects and colors around the house.
This was a perfect gift for teh young daughter of a friend. They recenty moved to HK so i wanted to sprinkle some Chinese dust on them with this traditional pattern on intense green fabric. The model was inspired by youtube, it s very simple to make an geat for somebody who do not know how to use a sewing machine yet but wants to make it work anyway.
Thursday is the only weekday evening i am free and can stay home in case i decide not to join my husband at his yoga class. The last couple of months have been so busy that i often wished to escape somewhere else from this horrible crowded city where evrything is so fake and profit oriented. The profit of the matter at its peak. I dont know how many years will pass before the trend will change direction. People talk and move like robot, there is no grace in the air, no sense of profound love an compassion. Some days are so heavy that the need to go walking barefeet on the grass during the day is overpushing. Tonite i will paint somebody similar
It is not too difficult today to reach balance. Just following these simple advices from Laotsi – the Chinese primordial master- will make it even simpler. We are reaching a point in society where we dont miss anything material nor spiritual, everything is so clearly disclosed in front of our eyes and the minds work much more open than before (but if you get meditative you go faster) . Now if desires are kept on a low level it will happen something incredible that there are no words to explain it. i dont even know how to write it. But this is the key for any kind of policy today. the only requirements are the right men. They have to be brave and cool; they have to belong to some sort of another race, another kind of personality which is different and it is not really easy to find, but they exist for sure. Because now we have everything and everyOne on this planet. It’s Amazing.
Laotsi’s proposal is really interesting and original, it’s not just something empty or meaningless or old. It’s so modern and can meet a win-to-win elaboration. Very smart application. Very new and so useful.
If those who are excellent find no preferment,
the people will cease to contend for promotion.
If goods that are hard to obtain are not favored,
the people will cease to turn robbers or bandits.
If things much desired are kept under cover,
disturbance will cease in the minds of the people.
The Wise Man’s policy, accordingly,
will be to empty people’s hearts and minds,
to fill their bellies , weaken their ambition,
give them sturdy frames and always so,
to keep them uninformed, without desire,
and knowing ones not venturing to act.
Be still while you work
and keep full control
Most perfect, yet it seem
its use is not impaired.
Filled up, and yet it seems
poured out, an empty void:
it will never run dry
The straightest, yet it seems
to deviate, to bend;
the highest skill and yet
it looks like clumsiness.
The utmost eloquence,
it sounds like stammering.
As movement overcomes
the cold, and stillness, heat
the Wise Man, pure and still
will rectify the world
Everytime i enter a modern shopping mall here in town a breeze of sophisticateness punctually blows around me. It’s not that i spend the time shopping during my visit but most of all tasting the colors, the architecture, the large space in name of the which we all sacrifice the space of our own homes in Hong Kong. Have a look from this past weekend.
Few but useful Airport check in counters inside the mall:
environment and design
in case you want to have a snow stroll
dining & shopping
everybody likes it…
New York, February 25, 2009 — Such has been the turmoil in the world’s banking industry that, for the first time, Global Finance magazine is publishing a mid-year update of its much respected Safest Banks listing. A full report on the list will appear in the April issue of Global Finance. The “World’s 50 Safest Banks” 2009 were selected through a comparison of the long-term credit ratings and total assets of the 500 largest banks around the world. Ratings from Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch were used. Global Finance has published its “World’s Safest Banks” listing for 17 years and this ranking has become a recognized and trusted standard of creditworthiness for the entire financial world.
“The rating agencies have determined these banks have demonstrated a more prudent and sustainable approach to risk than their peers,” says Global Finance publisher Joseph D. Giarraputo. “More than ever customers all around the world are viewing long term creditworthiness as the key feature of the banks with which they do business.”

How is your heart beat? Do you check on it? Not medically but for real. i found out that my heart beat is regular and especially during two moments of the day/week it goes towards the extreme without even touching them. During sitting time of meditation it slows down a lot, during a dance performance it does increase.
Traditional Chinese doctors suggest not to take to any hyper dynamic activity after 50 years of age. When we get old we should keep our heart beat on the same regular tune as much as possible. Nowaday there is a big trend to go jogging, running ~ there are big financial companies here in town which promote marathons to push up the heart beat of their employees and throw them in stressful conditions with the pretest of charity events or enhancing team spirit. But a completely conscious person will not listen to them and have great care of his heart beat.
Isnt it? With all the things we are reading and hearing about economy & co now now now it is definitely arrived the call for sobriety.
Communication is becoming simpler and if you are smart at heart you will know whether you are crossing or staying inside the boundary of the most pleasant conversation which is the one which turn sparkes of the joy on within the person in front of you, leaving her/him different from before the same conversation happened.
Giving present for celebrating core values and festivities is becoming such an easygoing act! People accept everything with open mind and focus on the mood of giving & receiving which is vibrating the material gift itself.
In these days here in the South of Europe, almost in Africa!, i am listening amazing conversations between common people who are showing a terrific common sense filled with enlightenment and understanding of the world we now live in. i am totally all ears and my brain is reacting with positive waves of bubbling coolness everytime. Just awsome!
People are focusing so much on education and children. They found out thru long experience that relationships drenched in innocence and trust put each child on the right path and that this is the only way for him to make a real difference later on.
But sobriety is not animated by emptiness or lack of pure knowledge and it is not referred to save money or go for the simplest and easiest solutions or ideas. Sobriety is the attitude of the ones who understand the root of the things and in a second are able to scan with their heart=brain the story of a life or of a full population in a determined environment. It is also to choose right gifts when we want to give, even fully worth the people we are treating, expensive gifts are so cool when we can afford them! They make people around sober and emotional, wrapped in pure emotions of Joy.
Also twin sisters: there are so many things, traditions, mentality, ideas, visions, economy, fashion which are shared by these two countries. Watching at these three girls of a musical trio from Sichuan (the department stuck to the east border of Tibet) I cannot avoid to think about Indian movies from Bollywood, the lovely ornaments and long womanly dresses of the Home of spirituality.
India & China share a history of spirituality and character from milleniums. It is not a case they are linked by the Himalayas, which is Home to Shiva and the Shakti Parvati who reside in our hearts in form of pure spirit and pure personality. We have just started to notice these relationships between countries just now that everybody talk about globalization and things like these. The most wonderful discoveries about “twins” countries still has to come and they reside in the manifested desire of each population to understand the subtle nature of their roots and traditions.
I hope the genuine desire of the humans to grow into their most ancient and valuable traditions will awaken each nanosecond more. For India and China (but also for all the other big and small nations)I wish in this New Lunar Year that:
people with enlightened brains and hearts will start to mangae their economy
women with a sweet and adorable personality will understand their true power from inside and start to express it at higher levels
there will be dedicated more and more festivals, seminars, meetings to reckon the similarity between countries (at any level)
their attention will be shifted towards the understanding of the importance of spirituality for the sake of a bigger vision
I only prayed for these four wishes. There are more but these are among the most urgent ones.
Happy Lunar New Year to you who are reading too. May you grow in a total collective atmosphere all your life.
The thing I never liked about Italy is the wine. The fact that this pretty corner of the world is remembered and celebrated also because of the wine makes me feel really uncomfortable. I always talk the contrary about Italy, that it is not true that the wine is so famous and exalt instead other kinds of interestingness and beauty (which Italy does not miss actually!). When somebody here approaches me praising Italy for the wine I use to give him a burning look and start to tell how dangerous is the wine instead. Why the Italians should be signaled as the ones who indirectly annihilate the senses and the consciousness? Why can’t they be indicated as the ones who bring forth awakening of the consciousness instead? Wouldn’t that be superior and more dignified?
The island I come from in Italy was called Aenaria (the sea in the picture), after the Latin people, that means “Island of the wine”. There is so much green still left in this little pearl and plenty of vineyards cultivated over there. They are used by the locals to make wine and sell it. A big section of the economical proceeds in Italy are drawn from this fragile activity.
The 2007 it has been a special year for the Italians because Mother nature has come to protect them and shock their economy for the better. The weather has changed up to the point that the grapes were not mature enough to produce wine in large quantities: the reason why some ignorant group of people out there is doing its best to increase the prices and so on. But these people will disappear with the time and nucleus of other people whose only desire is to bring light and awareness to the economy will slowly take its own place. It has to be like that if we really want to live in a Shining world. Otherwise let’s be very happy and satisfied with ignorance and blindness. Like in the medieval times. What do you say?
