Tao couplets

August 12, 2009 · 1 Comment

Usually they stop to the first couplet but here’s the rest, even more beautiful and enduring!

1. It is wisdom to know others;

It is enlightenment to know one’s self.

2. the conqueror of men is powerful;

the master of himself is strong.

3. it is wealth to be content;

it is willful to force one’s way on others.

4. endurance is to keep one’s place;

long life it is to die and not perish.

Accompanied by fabulous sitar from Bangladesh…enjoy it ~

Krishna & the Chinese New Year of the Cow

January 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Here is a short extract from Bhaja Govindam by poet Adi Shankaracharya. One of the Holy names of Shri Krishna, who has extensive control on the ability of the humankind to be collective, is Govinda.

cow2

Worship Govinda who is supreme bliss, who is the protector of the world, who made his advent in the world as Gopála through his lilá, who is the protector of the race (of Yádavas) and of cows, who made the cowherds happy by lifting up through his lilá the Govardhana mountain were the gopès used to play, whose name “Govinda” is uttered clearly by the cows (or scriptures), who has may names, and who is beyond the reach of the ignorant.
Worship Govinda who is supreme bliss, who was present in each of the different groups of gopis, who appears in different forms, who is one and nondual, whose beautiful form was covered by the dust raised always by the hooves of the cows, whose blissful nature is realized by sraddhá and bhakti, who is unimaginable, whose existence is known to the wise, and whose greatness is like that of the gem cintámaïi

Skin created to beam

November 25, 2008 · 3 Comments

pp7

i want to sleep in the eternity of the youth

with flat huge rocks for bed

and the wind constantly blowing on my skin

Then i will wake up only to see glitterin particles of gold and silver

departing from my pores and gently flying towards the trees and the sky

Verses in marathi

June 14, 2008 · 3 Comments

Marathi is a marvelous language, the more you will speak it the more your subtle system will open and strenghten. The cell of your body do know marathi already at a level of pure knowledge.

If you love somebody set them free

June 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment

If you love somebody, set them free

If it’s a mirror you want, just look into my eyes

Or a whipping boy, someone to despise

Or a prisoner in the dark

Tied up in chains you just can’t see

Or a beast in a gilded cage

That’s all some people ever want to be

If you love somebody, set them free

You can’t control an independent heart

Can’t tear the one you love apart

Forever conditioned to believe that we can’t live

We can’t live here and be happy with less

So many riches, so many souls

Everything we see that we want to possess

(Chinese) Song of the Good Man

June 2, 2008 · 1 Comment

The good of the Chinese soul is translated with the desire of being together, working together, doing things together, helping each other. Chinese have this gift to teach to all humanity, this should be printed in our cells. They are such a cool example for all of us. A simple folk lyric goes:

da he xiang dong liu wa
big river flow towards east
tian shang de xing xing can bei dou wa
stars in the sky pointing north
shuo zou zan jiu zou a ni you wo you quan dou you a
say go let’s go,you have, I have, all have
lu jian bu ping yi sheng kong wa
something unfair, help each other
gai chu shou shi jiu chu shou wa
if it’s time to help, stretch the hands to help
feng feng huo huo chuang jiu zhou wa
braving travelling around the nation

Bouquet called Universe

May 26, 2008 · 3 Comments

I want to smell like roses, lilies, daisies and fresias…

All the flowers of the whole world

I want to become fresh and travel in the air

Spreading everywhere in the atmosphere, in the smog, in the cool air

and in the humid weather

In every place where there are breathing people

So that they can smell the flavor of my bouquet

And start dancing while following it with their nose

I want their brain get sparkles of this smell from inside out

And the neurons start moving on the fragrant notes

Of the new enlightened awareness

The pure smell of the universe

The fragrance of the One

Real sign of Intercultura by R. Tagore

April 13, 2008 · 1 Comment

On the shores of Bharat,

where men of all races have come together

Awake, O my mind! Standing here with outstretched arms,

I send my salutations to the God of Humanity

and in great joy sing His praises.

trees lost in the depths of meditation,

fields adorned with rosary-like rivers,

I see the holy land every day on the shores of Bharat,

where men of all races have come together.

I know not from distant time thou

April 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I know not from distant time thou

arte ever coming nearer to me. Thy sun and stars

can never keep

thee hidden from me for aye.

In many a morning and eve thy footsteps

have been heard and thy messenger has come

within my heart and called me in secret.

I know not why today my life is all astir,

and a feeling of tremulous joy

is passing thru my heart.

It is as if the time were come to wind up my work,

and I feel in the air

a faint smell of thy sweet presence.

[radha quoting Tagore - Gitanjali
